Hi Everyone,
Jay was a close friend of mine. I don't remember what year he died. I
do know he was buried in Phillipsburg. Perhaps a classmate still living
in P-burg could check with Oliff-Boeve for info.
Really enjoy the web site. Thanks for all the work you put into it.

4/15/07 Daisy Mae Wildrix from Frank
I wanted to let you know for our PHS65' web site if you like: Daisy Mae Wildrix(sp ?) passed away sometime Friday, 13, 07'.
She was only in school with us during 7th & 8th grade. Instead of going on to high school, she just went to work. She will be cremated and I think any services for her will most likely be next Saturday the 21st. (Not definite on that yet.)
She never had children of her own, but loved her sister Shirley's kids and then grand kids very much. I know I can say that if Daisy was your friend, she was your faithful and loyal friend. I had a special friendship with her myself, and she never let me down.
Daisy had lots of medical problems, but I don't know what caused her death. Last I talked to her she had pnemonia again. (Had it several times I think.)
Cards for her only sister and family could be sent to:
Shirley Walker 1292 Feedlot Rd. Hays, Ks. 67601
God bless.

Merena's note:
I tried to get Mary's obit but the lady helping me could not find it under Whitsitt or her married name of Gutherie. She is buried in Fairview Cemetery in Phillipsburg under the name of Mary Grace Whitsitt. DOB 6/19/47 DOD 6/5/91 - died at age 44.
They lived on a farm just east of town. Had Mary, Gary, and Larry. All three are deceased. One of them was epileptic and had several seizures at the skating rink when we were kids. I saw Mary's mother about 8 years ago at the Logan fireworks. She told me about her kids.
Mary Whitsitt died of an infection after surgery in Wichita. She died in the early 80s and had 2 daughters. Virginia Allen was hit by a car and killed west of Phillipsburg maybe when we were in Jr. High. Terry McCall 8/11/03

I emailed Phillipsburg asking if they could provide us with obituaries of David Weinman, JC Gould, Mary Ann White Delaney, and Greg Alan Hudosn. My letter was received by Brenda Kingery Chance. She forwarded it to the Library. I have not heard anything but will let you know immediately, if I do.

It was so thoughtful of you to think of checking on our classmates who didn't finish with us - but I hope the news on the others is not so tragic!
